14-15 June 2013, Jabberkhet, Mussoorie, Uttarakhand: Titli Trust is supporting Jabberkhet Ecodevelopment in developing community-based at the Jabberkhet Estate. A training program for local guides was conducted on 14-15 June 2013. 12 people from the local villages attended the program which covered training on local flowers and trees, birdwatching, and an insight into guiding. Butterfly and moth catalogues for Eaglenest WLS produced and launched. The brochures will support the eco-tourism at Eaglenest WLS conducted by Kaati Tours and Bugun Welfare Society. Contributions from sales go entirely to the BWS for supporting their conservation efforts. Read More
26 Apr to 6 May 2013, Pakke Tiger Reserve, Arunachal Pradesh: Butterfly and moth survey to support local community-based tourism. Training Program for Local Guides and Forest Staff held at Eco-Camp with support from the Forest Department, Ghorey Aabhe Society and Pakke Tours and Travels. 21 participants learnt about butterflies and moths, how to identify them, their role in nature and some of the “specials” at Pakke, to support tourism.
22 April 2013, Dehradun, Uttarakhand: Sanjay Sondhi delivered a talk on the topic “Earth and Man” at The Achiever’s Program, The Doon School to celebrate Earth Day. The presentation can be downloaded here.
